Follow these simple steps to create custom paint markers with your own colors. Perfect for crafts, touch-ups, art projects, and more.

Pro Tips for Best Results

πŸ’§ Dilute Your Paint

Most paints need thinning for proper flow - sometimes up to 50/50 paint/thinner. Test on scrap first.

🎈 Release Air Pressure

After assembly, hold pen upright and depress tip fully to release trapped air. Prevents paint globs on first stroke.

πŸ”„ Shake Before Use

Always shake the pen thoroughly before each use to ensure proper paint consistency and flow.

πŸ“ Prime the Nib

Hold pen vertically against scrap paper, push down for a minute to prime. Only needed for first use or after long storage.

Paint Glob on First Stroke

Air not released after assembly. Always depress nib fully before capping to release pressure.

Nib Dries Out

Cap tightly after use. Store tip-down when possible. Clean nib with appropriate solvent if dried.

Inconsistent Flow

Shake pen more thoroughly. Check for air bubbles. Ensure paint is properly mixed before filling.
